In line with Unigaz’s mission to create value through a highly skilled and qualified team, there have been numerous efforts towards the attainment of several ISO certifications.
As of today, various Unigaz entities across the MENA region have been rightfully awarded several ISO certifications, which are:
| ISO – 9001: Quality Management Systems
This certification is specified for organizations asking how to improve the quality of their products and services and consistently meet their customers’ expectations. Hence, earning it verifies that Unigaz follows international standards for effective quality management systems, which enable it to enhance processes, cut down costs, and increase the satisfaction of all stakeholders holistically.
Obtaining this certification requires presenting documents that confirm the presence of customer focused efforts, appropriate leadership, process-based approaches, risk based thinking, evidence based decision making, people engagement, supplier relationship management, and continual improvement overall. |
| ISO – 14001: Environmental Management Systems
This certification proposes the framework for effective environmental management systems, which aim to reduce an organization’s negative impacts on the environment during practices such as manufacturing or distribution. Acquiring this enables Unigaz to operate more efficiently, practice environmental responsibility, ensure legislative compliance, and enhance brand identity as a whole.
Earning this certification requires the development of an environmental policy alongside environmental objectives, plans, and operational control procedures. In addition, it is crucial to perform evaluations of environmental aspects and risks, performance, and compliance regularly. With that, an organization must always identify nonconformities in order to take corrective action, and it must be committed to continually improve their performance. |
| ISO - 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
This certification indicates the standards for appropriate occupational health and safety management systems which includes improving employee safety, reducing workplace risks and creating better, safer working conditions. Thus, earning it enables Unigaz to boost stakeholder confidence, productivity, retention, involvement, and accountability.
Attaining this certificate necessitates the identification of any internal or external factors that may impact OHSMS. An organization must implement an occupational health and safety policy, specify the targeted objectives and underlying roles and responsibilities, provide necessary resources such as training and infrastructure, control operational processes, monitor performance, and pursue improvement measures at all times. |
| ISO - 18001: Health and Safety Management Systems (previous)
Previously, Unigaz had also earned the ISO 18001 certification. However, in 2018, this certification was replaced by ISO 45001, which builds on the prior but also considers the interaction between an organization and its environment. |
