Leading museum in Doha utilizes Unigaz Qatar’s expertise
2022-06-03
Unigaz Qatar signed a deal with the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), Doha, Qatar that is currently under renovation.

It will be installing and operating the museum’s fuel systems. The renovation work includes the galleries and interior spaces of the MIA building, which consists of two stories for permanent exhibition halls, two temporary exhibition halls, a private exhibition hall, a lecture hall, and a gift shop, all of which Unigaz Qatar will take part in.

As the museum embarked on a facilities’ enhancement project, its management selected partners that correspond to the museum’s vision of heritage and environmental sustainability. Unigaz Qatar was able to prove that it maintains strong similar values, which established trust between all parties that lead to a collaboration.

Mr. Haytham Saab, Unigaz Qatar’s Country Manager, stated that “MIA, as well as other museums and galleries are aware of and have a unique role to play in the climate and biodiversity crisis, as one of their main objectives is “preservation”. These institutions advocate for clean energy, which is what Unigaz promotes as a clean energy provider”.

“I truly believe that the only way to turn human intellect into a sustainable field that gets passed down through generations is to take care of our culture. Otherwise, we risk losing an important part of who we are.”, said Abdullatif Al Jasmi, Director of Cultural Heritage Protection at the museum.

With a goal of delivering clean energy for a sustainable world, Unigaz will keep focusing on adding real value to the communities it operates in.
